The eastbound I-30 off-ramp to Horizon Road in Rockwall, Exit 67A, is scheduled to close Oct. 30, weather permitting. The detour is expected to last through early 2027.

The closure will let crews build and relocate the exit and entrance ramps that serve the Horizon Road area along I-30. The work is part of the $348 million I-30 corridor expansion project.

The project will widen the interstate and add continuous frontage roads from SH 205 to the Hunt County Line. It will also add new frontage road bridges across Lake Ray Hubbard. The project is expected to be complete by early 2028. It is part of TxDOT's Texas Clear Lanes effort to relieve congestion in major metropolitan areas.
