Chris Golden, a Nashville recording artist and son of Oak Ridge Boys singer and songwriter William Lee Golden, will perform in concert at First Baptist Church Gilmer on Sunday, November 15, at 6 p.m. Admission is free, and a love offering will be received. The church is at 304 Buffalo Street in Gilmer.

Golden spent 17 years with the Oak Ridge Boys, where he played guitar, mandolin and harmonica and filled in on keyboards, before becoming a solo performer. The announcement said he has also toured with Alabama and Restless Heart. It said he has performed at the Ryman Auditorium, the Grand Ole Opry House and Dollywood, and for every living U.S. president.

The announcement said Golden has received several music industry honors, including ICMA's 2019 Entertainer of the Year and 2020 Instrumentalist of the Year and Producer of the Year. He has said that music is his life and his calling. He hopes audiences will worship and leave with hope, love and light. The church said everyone is invited to attend.
