The Hardin Lady Hornets beat the Warren Lady Warriors in five sets, 25-27, 25-22, 25-16, 23-25, 15-12, in a bi-district playoff game in Hamshire on Thursday night. The match was part of the first round of the Class 3A Region III District 22 playoffs. The Lady Hornets had an undefeated district season before the playoffs.

The teams were tied at two sets apiece before the fifth set. According to the report, a block by Trinity West sent the ball to an open spot on the court and gave Hardin the win. Head Coach Kaitlyn Gil said her team fought hard and gave credit to Warren. "Those kids did not give up," Gil said. Gil also said the pressure of a playoff game affected her team early in the match, when Hardin trailed in the first set.

Libero Peyton Hotaling said the team expected a tough match. Hotaling said Warren's Brenna Tillerson "came in swinging." The report said Hardin came back in the first set after Warren built a lead, with help from blocks by Bree Beall and kills by Chloe Elmore.
