The City of Eagle Pass will hold its annual Veterans Day Parade and Proclamation Ceremony on Saturday, November 7, 2026. The parade begins at 10 a.m. in downtown Eagle Pass and is open to veterans, their families, community organizations, city officials and residents.
A Veterans Day Proclamation Ceremony will follow the parade in front of the Eagle Pass Public Library. The city said the event recognizes the service and sacrifices of military veterans.
Veterans Day is observed each year on November 11 across the United States. The holiday began as Armistice Day to mark the end of World War I in 1918 and was renamed Veterans Day in 1954. The story says Eagle Pass and Maverick County are home to more than 1,600 military veterans.
