Texas A&M University and Buc-ee's are releasing a T-shirt that features Buc-ee the Beaver celebrating the university's 150th anniversary. The shirt goes on sale Nov. 3 in Rudder Plaza and at the Barnes & Noble Campus Bookstore. Buc-ee himself will appear at the Rudder Plaza event from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. It is the third shirt in a co-branded merchandise line the university and Buc-ee's released this year. Texas A&M said the other two shirts will also be sold at the pop-up, and that people who miss it can buy all three at the campus bookstore in the Memorial Student Center.

Aplin, a 1980 Texas A&M graduate who founded Buc-ee's, will speak at 4 p.m. the same day in Rudder Theatre. The talk is part of the university's Sesquicentennial Speaker Series and will be held alongside the College of Architecture Showcase. Texas A&M President Susan Ballabina will moderate. The university said Aplin will discuss his business experience and his views on hospitality, retail and experiential learning.

Aplin recently gave $60 million for the Aplin Center, which is under construction in the main campus. The university said the center will offer hands-on learning for students studying hospitality, retail, food innovation, merchandising, marketing and customer experience.
