A Taylor County man was arrested at Lake Kirby Park after investigators said he arranged to meet someone he believed was a 15-year-old girl, according to a Taylor County affidavit. The affidavit identifies the man as Camon Deandre Williams.
The affidavit says Williams first contacted a Facebook account on or about March 26. The account was operated by an undercover detective, Andrew Rodela, who posed as a teenage girl. On March 30, the detective told Williams she was 15, according to the affidavit. Investigators allege Williams kept talking with the account, sent sexually explicit messages about what he planned to do when they met, and agreed to meet at the park.
Officers arrested Williams when he arrived at Lake Kirby Park, the affidavit says. The affidavit was filed May 27.
