Laredo Mayor Dr. Victor Treviño met at the bridge with the governors of Nuevo León and Jalisco. The stated goal is to strengthen trade ties between Mexico and the United States.
Leaders hope the 50% cut will lower shipping costs and direct more commercial traffic into Laredo.
