Potter County Republican Party Chairman Dan Rogers has sued the Potter County Elections Administrator on behalf of the county party, according to court records. The federal lawsuit asks a court to order the county to hand count all votes cast in the November midterm election and compare them with the machine-based results.
Rogers has criticized electronic voting systems and has supported hand-marked paper ballots, the report said. Current law requires that a portion of votes cast on electronic machines be counted by hand. Rogers alleges in the lawsuit that this is not enough.
In his complaint, Rogers wrote that wrongdoers, foreign or domestic, could use AI to change final vote totals for candidates without a full verification. Rogers is represented by the Houston-based Woodfill Law Firm.
