Mary Hardin-Baylor beat Schreiner 66-7 on Saturday, Oct. 31, at Crusader Stadium in Belton. The No. 14 Crusaders scored three touchdowns in the opening eight minutes and led 42-0 in the first quarter, before Schreiner recorded a first down.

UMHB, now 7-1 and 3-0 in the American Southwest Conference, did not throw a pass in the second half. Schreiner, which fell to 3-5 and 0-3, was not able to keep pace with the Crusaders' start.

Crusaders quarterback Carson Horton said after the game that the team had needed a fast start and got one. Head coach Larry Harmon said the team was focused on improving and running its offense.
