Laredo police asked residents to stay away from North Central Park while the area is evacuated after a grass fire.
Laredo police asked residents to stay away from North Central Park on Wednesday as the area was evacuated following a fire. Police reported the evacuation at about 10:28 a.m.
The Laredo Fire Department said the fire appears to be a small grass fire and is being handled by firefighters. A photo shared by the Laredo Police Department showed brush on fire with smoke rising from the area.
North Central Park will remain closed until further notice. The story is developing.
