Census Bureau figures reported by The Texas Tribune show Texas incomes rose slightly last year, while housing costs slowed growth.
Texas median household income was $82,625 last year, up slightly from the year before, according to figures from the U.S. Census Bureau, as reported by The Texas Tribune.
The state's median is slightly lower than the national median household income of $84,780. The report said high housing costs slowed income growth in Texas last year.
The state's poverty rank also shrank, according to the report.
