Board members of the Willacy County Navigation District met on Oct. 21 to discuss possible future needs for long-term loans funded through the sale of bonds.

Two financial advisory firms presented their qualifications to the board and listed their existing customers. Board members then voted to enter an agreement with Estrada, Hinojosa, a McAllen-based company.

According to the report, the firm already serves Willacy County, the city of Raymondville and the Port of Corpus Christi.
