The Early Longhorns (6-2, 1-1 in district) lost 34-17 to the state-ranked Wall Hawks last week. They now face the Ingram Moore Warriors (7-1, 2-0) at 7 p.m. Friday in Ingram. The Warriors have not lost a District 3-3A Division I game this season.

Early coach Marvin Wilson said his team played hard against Wall. "Our kids played their tails off and with about four minutes left it was a still a three-point ball game," he said. He said the team must now prepare for a different offense. An Early win over Ingram Moore, followed by a Wall win next week, would create a three-way tie for the district championship, if the Longhorns also beat Llano in their regular season finale.

Ingram's only loss this season came to Class 2A Division I No. 2 Mason, 55-34. The Warriors average 46 points per game, led by quarterback Logan Spaulding, who has 1,408 passing yards and 16 touchdowns. Early averages 36 points per game, and quarterback Caden Wilson has 613 rushing yards and a team-high 13 rushing touchdowns. Early's defense allows 20 points per game, while Ingram's allows 15.
