The Bangs Dragons visit the San Saba Armadillos at 7 p.m. Friday at Rogan Field. Both teams are 5-3 overall and 2-1 in district play. The winner will be alone in second place in District 7-2A Division I with one game left.
Bangs coach Colton Buzzard, in his third year, said the game is the biggest of the district season so far. The Dragons beat Brady 36-21 last week after trailing 13-7 after the first quarter. Buzzard said the team would need to limit penalties and avoid fumbles.
San Saba beat Coleman 7-6 last week. Jason Everett rushed for 104 yards and a 36-yard touchdown. Buzzard said Everett can run the ball well and that Bangs would need to limit him.
