Howard Payne University will host pianist Teresa Walters for her Musical Faith Journey Tour on Thursday, Oct. 29, at 7 p.m. The concert will be held in Grace Chapel. It is free and open to the public.
The New York Times has described Walters as "The International First Lady of Piano." She is an international Steinway Artist. The university said the tour is not a traditional piano recital. Instead, it mixes personal true stories, multimedia resources and original interdenominational music, and Walters shares experiences from her life in music.
Howard Payne University, founded in 1889, is a Christ-centered liberal arts university in Brownwood, Texas. It offers more than 100 majors, minors and pre-professional programs across six schools and three locations.
