FBI Houston said the man suspected of robbing a PNC Bank in Cypress last week has been arrested. Samuel Everrett Williams was taken into custody at his home by FBI Houston's Violent Crime Task Force, the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force, and Harris County Sheriff's Office deputies.
FBI Houston said Williams was out on parole for a 2012 bank robbery conviction. He was booked into the Harris County Jail.
Authorities said the robbery happened last Friday at the PNC Bank at 14213 Cypress Rose Hill Road in Cypress. A man entered the bank and demanded cash from a teller. Authorities said he did not show a weapon but told the teller he had one and threatened to brandish it if she did not comply. The teller gave him an undisclosed amount of cash, and he fled on foot in an unknown direction.
