The Junior League of Tyler has opened its 48th annual Mistletoe and Magic holiday shopping market at the W.T. Brookshire Conference Center in Tyler. A preview party was held Wednesday evening, and the market runs through Saturday at 4 p.m. General shopping opened to the public Thursday at 11 a.m., after a private morning session that drew an estimated 650 attendees.

More than 72 vendors from Texas and neighboring states, including Louisiana, are taking part. Items for sale include women's boutique clothing, art, specialty foods, spice mixes, pet goods and children's ride-on ponies. General admission is $12 and tickets can be bought at the door or online.

Event chair Lindsay Durr said every dollar raised goes back to the community. She said the league gives money to Smith County nonprofits and also sends volunteers to support them. Durr said a committee of 42 women has worked since last year's event. The market raised more than $480,000 net in 2025, and organizers have set a goal of more than $500,000 this year. Proceeds support care closets that provide hygiene products to Smith County schools, the Girl Power seminar for sixth grade girls, and groups including Bethesda Health Clinic and Discovery Science Place.
