Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation's S. Reed Morian Gear Up for Game Wardens program recently bought 561 trash containers for about $105,000, enough to equip every Texas Game Warden. Austin-based YOGI Bins agreed to donate $50 for each container purchased, according to the story.

YOGI Bins presented a check for $28,050 to support the program at the Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission meeting in Fort Worth on Nov. 5. The containers attach to pickup trucks and give wardens a place to collect trash so it does not blow away.

Col. Ron VanderRoest, director of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department's Law Enforcement Division, said wardens spend a lot of time in their vehicles while patrolling remote areas or responding to emergencies. "These containers give them a convenient place to collect trash until it can be disposed of properly," he said. YOGI Bins founders Hunter Stewart and Mike Milliman are avid outdoorsmen who developed the product to keep trash contained in pickup trucks.
