The Food 4 SA campaign is asking San Antonio residents to donate food throughout November to help families facing hunger. News 4 San Antonio is working with the San Antonio Food Bank, H-E-B, Security Service Federal Credit Union and the San Antonio Express-News on the drive. The partners set a goal of collecting 4 million pounds of food by the end of the month.

The campaign runs through Nov. 30. Residents can donate non-perishable food at participating collection sites in the San Antonio area, including any Security Service Federal Credit Union branch and neighborhood H-E-B stores. Donation bags are available at the San Antonio Food Bank, and San Antonio Express-News subscribers will receive bags with their newspapers. People who prefer to give money can donate through the San Antonio Food Bank's website.

Several H-E-B locations will also hold turkey collection events on Saturdays in November to help families with Thanksgiving meals. The first is Saturday at the H-E-B at 7330 North Loop 1604 West, near Babcock Road. A second collection is set for Nov. 14 at the Leon Springs H-E-B at 24165 Interstate 10 West, near Boerne Stage Road. The final round is scheduled for Nov. 21 at several H-E-B Plus! locations, including stores on Loop 1604 at Bandera Road and Blanco Road, South New Braunfels Avenue, Marbach Road, South Zarzamora Street, Highway 281 North and Boerne.
