The fourth annual New Braunfels Renaissance Faire returns in December at Heritage Village, 1370 Church Hill Drive. It runs Dec. 4 through 6 and Dec. 11 through 13.

Planned attractions include live jousting tournaments, more than 100 artisan vendor booths, archery, spear throwing, live entertainment and a visit from St. Nikolaus. Visitors can also solve quests, make a wish at the Christmas tree, wander a labyrinth, visit the tavern, meet mermaids and explore a fairy forest. The faire says all activities are family-friendly. Costumes are encouraged but not required.

This year the faire will benefit 20 nonprofit organizations in New Braunfels. The faire says it has raised more than $200,000 for nonprofits in total, including Heritage Village, the Humane Society of the New Braunfels Area, Pink Warrior Advocates and Hope Hospice.

General admission is $15 per person on Fridays and $20 on Saturdays and Sundays. Children 11 and under are admitted free. Tickets can be bought online at nbrenfaire.com or at the box office. Hours are 5 to 10 p.m. Fridays, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays. Nearby school parking lots charge $8 to $10.
