The Eagle Pass High School Eagles varsity football team has secured a spot in the 2026 Texas Class 6A Division II playoffs, according to an announcement that also congratulated the coaching staff. Supporters will receive playoff game information once it is available.
The Eagles entered the final week of the regular season with a 4-5 overall record and a 3-3 mark in District 30-6A. Their regular-season finale is at home against the Del Rio Rams on Friday, Nov. 6, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. Two recent wins helped their postseason push: a 31-30 victory over Laredo United South and a 34-28 win over San Antonio Southwest Legacy.
Under University Interscholastic League rules, the top four teams from each Class 6A district advance to the postseason. The two qualifying schools with the largest enrollments play in Division I, and the other two play in Division II.
