A Midland man, 46-year-old Carlos Luis Lara Rosales, was found dead at the scene of a two-vehicle crash in Dawson County on Monday afternoon, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety. Troopers responded to the crash on SH 349 and FM 829 just before 4 p.m.
DPS said 36-year-old Juan Pablo Roasas Garcia was driving an SUV that was towing a trailer northwest on SH 349. Crash investigators said it appears Garcia slowed and tried to make a left turn onto FM 829. They said Rosales, who was driving a passenger car, did not slow down in time and struck the trailer from behind.
