The Trump Administration announced $87 million in Rural Health Transformation Program funding for 129 rural healthcare providers in Texas, distributed through Rural Texas Strong.

According to the announcement, the money will help providers prevent and manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease and chronic respiratory disease. It will also support recruiting and keeping physicians, emergency medical personnel and other healthcare workers, replace aging medical equipment, and improve existing facilities.

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. said that President Trump believes every American deserves high-quality healthcare, no matter where they live. Kennedy said the resources are going directly to rural communities to strengthen the health workforce, modernize infrastructure and expand access to care.
