Jazmine K. Hall, a former seventh-grade assistant principal at Lamar Junior High School in Rosenberg, resigned Monday. Fort Bend County court records show she was charged with assault causing bodily injury, a class A misdemeanor. The incident happened Saturday night at Imperial Park in Sugar Land.

Lamar CISD said the employee reported the incident to its human resources department over the weekend. The district said the event was not sponsored by the school district. In a statement, the district said it holds employees in leadership positions to high standards of professional conduct.

Court records show Hall's husband, Kiarious Hall, was charged with two counts of misdemeanor assault. Bonds were set at $3,000 for Jazmine Hall and $11,000 for Kiarious Hall. According to a probable cause affidavit, one man was taken to St. Luke's Hospital Sugar Land with a head injury, and another had several lacerations. The affidavit says Kiarious Hall had no visible injuries. As of Tuesday, no attorney was listed for either of them in the county's online court system.
