Utility work set before Steinbeck Bend Drive widening in Waco
Protective casements for water and sewer lines will be extended before the road widening goes out to bid.
The widening of Steinbeck Bend Drive is expected to be ready for contractor bids next year. Before that work starts, crews will extend protective casements for several water and sewer lines that run under the roadway.
The Texas Department of Transportation added the project on Wednesday to its list of contracts it expects to award next year. The road leads to the Waco Mammoth National Monument.
