Democrat Alisa Simmons declared victory over incumbent Republican Tim O'Hare in the race for Tarrant County judge, the county's top executive post. Simmons was leading by 15 points in early voting, and results were still being counted.

Simmons told supporters at an event in Arlington that O'Hare had called to congratulate her on the win.

O'Hare took office in 2023. The report says he led efforts to end diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives in schools and nonprofits. In 2025, he led a redraw of commissioners court districts that he hoped would give Republicans a 4-1 advantage. Simmons said the move discriminated against Black and Latino voters. The last Democrat to serve as county judge was Mike Moncrief, who left office in 1986.
