The Junior League of Lufkin said its 2026 Little Black Tee initiative raised more than $28,000 to support the organization's mission and its work in Angelina County. The campaign ran Sept. 13–19 and drew support from local businesses, organizations and community members. Participating businesses and donors were recognized on the League's social media during the week.

The initiative was led by Committee Chair Allison Gray and Co-Chair Katelyn Miller, along with League members and community partners. Gray thanked donors and volunteers. Miller said the community's response was a meaningful experience. The League named Elite Hospice and Palliative Care, Elite Medical Home Care, A Pineywoods Home Health and the Naranjo Museum of Natural History as presenting sponsors.

The League said donations are still coming in. It said the funds support its work to address the root causes of poverty for women and children in Angelina County through community programs, partnerships, volunteer service and leadership development. League President Aimee Meyers thanked the businesses, organizations and individuals who supported the effort.
