Students and staff at Sotomayor High School in San Antonio were evacuated after a bomb threat call, the Bexar County Sheriff's Office said. The call came in around noon on Tuesday, during school hours.
Northside Independent School District police completed a sweep of the school as a precaution. Deputies secured the area around the school, and K-9 units were brought in. Students were moved to a secure area on campus, according to the sheriff's office.
The Northside Independent School District later confirmed the campus had been cleared and declared safe for reentry. Students were returning inside under staff supervision, and afternoon buses were set to run on their normal schedule. The source of the call remains under investigation, and no suspects have been identified. No injuries or arrests have been reported.
