Natalia ISD band director Sergio Mendez said the marching band ended its season with the program's sixth trip to the Area Finals. He said the students worked through scheduling conflicts that made preparation harder at times.
Mendez said the season was more competitive because more schools are moving down to the 3A classification. He said the band placed at every contest during the season.
Mendez said the band's highlights included its performance at the Area competition.
