Texas Democrat James Talarico on Thursday filed paperwork with the Federal Election Commission to run for the U.S. Senate in 2032. The story said his six-year term, which has not yet started, would end that year.

The filing names Talarico for Texas PAC as his principal campaign committee. It also authorizes 10 additional political action committees to keep raising money for him, including the Blue Senate Candidate Fund and the Pappas, Peltola, Talarico, Vindman Senate Victory Fund.

Talarico, a state representative, launched his U.S. Senate campaign 14 months earlier in his hometown of Round Rock, the story said.
