Jacksonville ISD has named Deputy Superintendent Sara Gill as the lone finalist for superintendent, district spokesperson Grace Taylor announced Tuesday.
Trustees voted in Gill's favor at the board's monthly meeting. According to Taylor, Gill has spent all 29 years of her public education career with the district, including 18 years in leadership roles.
After the vote, a 21-day notice period began under Texas law. The board may consider her promotion at a future meeting.
