Texas Comptroller Don Huffines has launched the Texas Fraud Investigation and Recovery Strike Team, known as Texas FIRST. The unit is a new statewide group within the Comptroller's Law Enforcement Operations Division.

According to the announcement, Texas FIRST is meant to investigate fraud, government corruption and financial crimes that affect Texas taxpayers.
