Business owners say nine food trucks were hit or damaged early Thursday at Porky's Backyard Food Truck Park on Atascocita Road near Timber Forest Drive. Five of the trucks had their heavy-duty power and generator cords completely cut, according to the owners.

A Harris County Sheriff's Office patrol deputy responded to the lot around 5:38 a.m. Thursday. Investigators said the person ran on foot toward a nearby apartment complex. Security cameras captured the person carrying bolt cutters, according to Porky's co-owner Austin Wolf. No arrests have been made. The suspect's identity and motive are not known.

Owners said that without power they could not run refrigeration, grills or point-of-sale systems, and they raced to protect food and daily sales. Dennis Hagans, owner of Chicken Coop HTX, said a security alert on his phone showed movement on the lot before sunrise.
