Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Main Street Baptist Church in Grand Saline for Jasmine Henson and her children, Robert, 10, Troy, 8, Levi, 5, and Avrii, 3. The school districts in Grand Saline and Canton are releasing students early so they can attend.
A fire destroyed the family's mobile home near Canton on Oct. 21. Henson's partner, Cody Mitchell, and their 7-year-old son, Grayson, survived. Officials are still working to determine the cause of the fire.
In a joint statement, the Henson and Mitchell families thanked the community for its support and asked for privacy. Donation funds have been set up at Bartley Funeral Home in Grand Saline for funeral expenses and on GoFundMe to help Mitchell and Grayson rebuild.
