Dock Jackson has defeated incumbent Gregory Klaus in the race for Bastrop County judge, according to unofficial results from Tuesday's general election. Jackson received 51.5% of the vote and Klaus received 48.5%, a margin of 1,076 votes.

All precincts have reported, with more than 37,000 ballots cast across the county. Voter turnout reached 57% of the county's 65,454 registered voters.
