Montgomery County voters must follow state and local rules to cast a ballot, according to Woodlands Online. Voters must show one of seven state-approved photo IDs, such as a Texas Driver License, US Passport, Texas Handgun License or US Military ID. Voters who cannot reasonably obtain a photo ID can sign a Reasonable Impediment Declaration and bring a supporting document, such as a certified birth certificate, utility bill or bank statement.

Voters who are in line by 7:00 p.m. can still vote, because polls must stay open until they cast a ballot. The outlet said early voting wait times stretched to three hours or more, and suggested bringing a book or earbuds. Texas does not offer same-day voter registration on Election Day, and voters must be registered at least 30 days before an election.

Woodlands Online said voters should not wear or carry campaign material, including hats and shirts that identify a candidate, party or political ideal. Phones and tablets must be turned off within 100 feet of the polling location. Printed materials are allowed. Voters who want to find their precinct polling location can visit elections.mctx.org/vrlookup.asp. The outlet advised voters not to argue with polling officials.
