Monday begins with patchy fog across Southeast Texas, and some spots could see dense fog, according to the forecast. Humidity is rising, with afternoon highs in the low to mid 80s. A few isolated showers are also expected.

Storms are forecast for Tuesday, Election Day, as a cold front moves through the area. The forecast said the front could bring widespread heavy rain, strong winds and hail. Southeast Texas is under a 1/4 risk for flooding. Forecasters advised voters to go to the polls early, since the heaviest rain is expected to begin late morning and continue through the evening.

Behind the front, cooler air is expected from Wednesday through the start of the weekend. Daytime highs are forecast in the 70s, and morning temperatures are expected to drop into the 50s.
