The Port of Galveston trustees have waived tariffs on party boats at Pier 19. The move was introduced by board member Scott Hickman and Chairwoman Sheila Lidstone.

According to the story, the move aims to support longtime fishing businesses, increase recreational access and preserve a historic part of the island's working waterfront.
