The city of Big Spring will hold a free Large/Bulk Item Pickup for residents in District 5 on Nov. 18. The program is meant to help residents remove large household items such as couches, mattresses and appliances at no cost.
Residents must schedule a pickup by calling Public Works at 432-264-2501 or emailing nhernandez@mybigspring.com by 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16. Items must be placed at the curb by 7 a.m. on collection day and will be collected between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Items left in an alley, in front of a vacant lot or outside a business will not be collected. Items should not be placed in bags, boxes or other containers, according to the city's flyer.
Residents with questions should call the Public Works Office at 432-264-2501 before setting items out.
