White Lodging, a family-owned hospitality company, has opened Hotel Trinity in downtown Austin. The Austin Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Austin Alliance held a ribbon cutting for the hotel on Nov. 5. The hotel is at 311 E. Fifth St.
The 14-floor hotel has 258 guest rooms, 20 of them suites. It is White Lodging's 13th hotel in Austin. Davon Barbour, president and CEO of Downtown Austin Alliance, said Hotel Trinity is the third hotel to open downtown this year, bringing the downtown total to 16,000 hotel rooms.
The hotel's restaurant, The Yacht Club, also opened Nov. 5. Its menu includes raw and chilled seafood, pastas, plates and sides. The Sundeck Social, a rooftop club for hotel guests, will host a music series with Antone's. The first Sundeck Sessions performance is set for Nov. 6 and will feature Texas-based musicians Chaparelle. Will Bridges, co-owner of Antone's, said the partnership will offer a new kind of experience in Austin.
