Brooke Underwood, CEO of Destination El Paso, was the subject of the El Paso Child Guidance Center's 24th dinner and roast on Wednesday. Friends and colleagues told funny stories and made good-natured jokes about her during the annual fundraiser. This year's event was called "Brook's Underfire Prime Chop House."
Monica Castillo, co-owner of Her Voice: Monica Castillo, served as master of ceremonies. The roasters were Bryan Crowe, vice president of venue operations at Legends Global, and attorney Justin Underwood.
Proceeds support the center's mental health programs and services for children and families in the community. Underwood, a graduate of J.M. Hanks High School and the University of Texas at El Paso, was named CEO of Destination El Paso in June.
