Celestina Harris, 13, an 8th grader and San Antonio native, stars in the new Netflix series Doozie's Doghouse. The show is a spinoff of Gabby's Dollhouse and premieres on Netflix next week. Harris plays Doozie, Gabby's younger sister, who goes on adventures in her own dog-themed playhouse.
In an interview with the San Antonio Current, Harris said she has already shared the screen with performers including Zoe Saldaña and Mandy Moore. She said that after her audition for Doozie's Doghouse, she built a home recording studio for voiceover auditions, and that bookings began to follow. She said the role took about five months to land.
Harris also spoke about the lessons the show teaches young viewers, according to the Current.
