Michelle Eggleston, a Republican and an Amarillo attorney in private practice, won the Potter County judge race on Tuesday. She received 63 percent of the vote, defeating Democrat Jerri Glover, a mediator and realtor, who received 37 percent. Eggleston will replace Nancy Tanner as county judge.

Eggleston will be the second female county judge in Potter County history. She will lead a Commissioners Court that the story describes as dominated by Republicans. Two new commissioners, Jeff Raef and Timothy Gassaway, will join the court. H.R. Kelly and John Coffee are still serving, with terms set to end in 2028.
