A gas main break on Friday morning led to a shelter-in-place order for some Katy-area residents, according to Harris County emergency officials. The break happened near Morton Ranch Road and Bridge Lake Boulevard.
Officials said residents and businesses within a half-mile radius of the intersection should stay indoors, close windows and doors, and remain sheltered until an all-clear is issued. A roadway closure is also in place, and drivers were asked to avoid the area and use an alternate route.
The story did not say how long the shelter-in-place or the road closure would last.
