Progressive Health Group CEO Quentin Whitwell told The Fayette County Record on Friday that the company has received a license to operate the La Grange hospital. The state approved the license on Thursday, Oct. 29.

Whitwell called the license one of the final steps toward reopening the facility, which closed in 2023. He said the company still has some work to do before the hospital can reopen. No official reopening date has been announced.
