Brazos County officials said the College Heights Assembly of God polling location, at 4100 Old College Road in Bryan, will be closed on Election Day. The site will not open Tuesday because of a broken air conditioning unit and a potential loss of water, officials said.
Officials said they considered using portable cooling units but decided against it. They said those units could overload the older building's electrical system while voting machines are in use.
Voters may cast ballots at any other county polling location. Officials pointed to the Legends Event Center at 2533 Midtown Park Blvd., about two miles away. A full list of locations is available at elections.brazoscountytx.gov.
