A trooper was in the path of gunfire and another worked to recover property lost to a car burglary at the same hotel early Friday.
Early Friday morning, a chain of events took place outside a hotel on the Northwest Side. One Department of Public Safety trooper was in the path of gunfire during the incident.
A second DPS trooper was trying to recover property that was lost to a car burglar. Both incidents happened at the same location.
