Sullivan City man dies in crash after failing to stop for trooper
Texas DPS says a 42-year-old driver died after a pursuit ended in a rollover crash on Thursday night.
A 42-year-old Sullivan City man, Raul Garcia, died at the scene of a rollover crash Thursday night, according to a press release from the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The release said a DPS trooper tried to stop Garcia's maroon 2004 Ford F-150 at about 7:20 p.m. for a traffic violation at FM 1924 and Western Road. The department said Garcia did not stop, and a pursuit followed. Garcia then drove against traffic northbound on Moorefield Road toward FM 676, lost control and rolled over, the release said. It said he was partially ejected from the vehicle.
DPS said it continues to investigate the crash.
