Court documents obtained by KTSM 9 News say an El Paso police officer sexually assaulted a woman and paid her to stay silent about it.

The officer, Jorge Andres Minjares, 23, was arrested for official oppression, according to the report. Jail records show he was released on Friday, Oct. 30.
