The Texas Department of Transportation has several projects under way in Angelina and surrounding counties. The agency said timelines may change because of weather and material availability. Dirt work will take place during the day and paving at night, and lane closures are not anticipated.

Listed work includes bridge replacement and road rehabilitation on Farm-to-Market Road 324, where traffic will be controlled by flaggers and pilot vehicles. On State Highway 94, the contractor will clean culverts, and lane closures will occur. Maintenance crews will install reduced speed limit signs on State Highway 7, and spot-base work is planned on State Highway 19 south.

In the Livingston Area Office, which covers Polk, San Jacinto and Trinity counties, concrete work for the main lanes is planned. Work on US 59 between Shepherd and Cleveland, which is being upgraded to interstate standards, includes excavation, riprap and embankment work. The agency said shoulder work and striping are expected to require daily lane closures, and it urged drivers to stay alert for construction traffic.
